When I first came in to KV Health Club, I had really low self-esteem. I had gained a lot of weight with my babies and never lost it. Since I’ve been working out with my personal trainer, Sharon, I have a whole new attitude. She challenges me, but never gives me any exercise that I would fail at. She boosts me up and always has positive energy. She encourages me and I look forward to our training sessions and just going to KV Health Club. – Andrea
I started in April of 2011 with a plethora of ailments (body aches and pains) that had plagued me for years. They affected every part of my life; getting out of bed and standing up straight took me 5-10 minutes each and every morning because of my back. I couldn’t ride my road bike without extreme pain after each ride. My shoulders ached and limited me. Also my knee limited my winter sport of downhill skiing. So I must say, training with Sharon has made a huge difference. It’s not like physical therapy. It’s whole body strengthening, core, balance, and still sport specific as we transition from the biking season to the winter skiing season. The first skiing trip, 5 hours of skiing, left me with muscle soreness but no joint pain. That’s the first time in over 4 years. No knee problems. It’s because of the program Sharon has designed for me and worked with me as a personal trainer – Martin
Sharon is great. She has increased my strength, balance and coordination. She challenges me, and I love this. Sharon always has something new. I’m never bored and my equilibrium has improved immensely. – Marianne
I go to KV Health Club because of Sharon. She has helped improve my balance, increased my strength in my hips and core. I’m 84 and love her positive attitude. I look forward to our training sessions. – Jean
Thanks, Sharon, for the chat this morning, running is just such a passion of mine and the second my shins start feeling normal again, I just get sooo excited! You are so right, and I’m happy you care enough to say things like that to me. It’s hard to remember that one has to start from the beginning again. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the invaluable advice. I appreciate your tutorialage, concern, and knowledge on nutrition and creating a balance in one’s life. The constant feeling of sanity is throwing me off! It is absolutely true. My body tells me when it’s hungry, about every 3 hours. I was used to shoveling things in my face (aha- weight gain) and not making scheduled times to eat. It’s all part of the learning curve, the discipline and listening to my body. I have more energy, increasing my workouts. I look forward to our nutritional consultation. – Denise
A huge thank you to Sharon and KV Health Club for opening up this morning during the snow storm, where others had closed. You stayed opened for crazy nuts that had to get their workouts in. Owning a small business is hard enough, let alone a small, local health club when you need to compete with “Globo-o-gyms”, but nobody can compete with outstanding client service, and I loved every step of my 11 miles on the treadmill this morning. Anyone in the Gardiner/Augusta area owes it to themselves to switch gyms and support the awesome people and community that are alive and well at KV Health Club. I’m now a member for life! – Seth
